To design and deliver your journey, Summit Lanka Travels (Pvt) Ltd collects only the information needed to plan, book and support your travel. This includes details you share with us directly and a limited amount of technical data from our website.

• Contact details such as your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and country of residence.
• Travel details such as passport information, travel dates, flight preferences, dietary requirements and relevant health or accessibility needs you choose to share.
• Messages and enquiries you send through our website forms, email, phone or WhatsApp.

We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, confirm bookings, issue travel documents and support you before and during your journey.

With your consent, we may also send occasional travel inspiration or offers. You can opt out at any time using the link in each message or by contacting us. We never sell your personal information.

To deliver your itinerary, we share the necessary details with the partners who provide your services, and only for that purpose:

• Hotels, lodges, transport operators, guides and naturalists involved in your journey.
• Airlines and aviation partners for flight reservations and ticketing.
• Government authorities where required for visas, ETAs or by law.

Because our guests and partners are located around the world, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Sri Lanka, such as when booking international flights or outbound tours.

Whenever information leaves Sri Lanka, we share only what is needed for your booking and work with established partners who are expected to protect it appropriately.

Payments are processed through 3D-Secure encrypted payment gateways. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.

We keep booking records only for as long as needed to deliver your journey and to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.

Our website uses a single functional cookie to remember the currency you choose for displaying prices. It contains no personal information and is not used for advertising.

Note on Third-Party Services: Fonts and scripts on our website are delivered by content networks such as Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which receive your IP address in order to serve these files. Links to WhatsApp or social media are governed by those platforms’ own privacy policies.

You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent for marketing. Please write to legal@summitlanka.com:

• Ask us to correct inaccurate details or delete information we no longer need.
• Withdraw your consent to marketing messages at any time.

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change; the date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. This policy is governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, including the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
